The Sconce House Collection Kingsdon Brass Cup Plug In Uplighter

A small brass cup that throws everything at the ceiling. Two of these in a low room will do more than a bright ceiling light and cost less to run.

Our own label, drawn here and made for us in small runs. A plug in wall light is the honest answer for a rented flat, a wall with nothing behind it, or a bed that has moved since the electrician came. The flex is braided rather than PVC because a braided flex hanging down a wall looks deliberate and a grey PVC one looks like an accident. Every fitting is supplied ready to use with the plug fitted and a lamp is not included.

Fitting

This is a plug in fitting, so no electrician is needed. Two keyhole slots on the backplate take a pair of screws, and the flex drops from the lower edge of the backplate. If you would rather run the cable down inside the wall, an electrician can convert it to a hardwired fitting and the flex simply comes off. At roughly 1.6 kilograms it is light enough for a good quality plasterboard anchor if there is no timber behind.
