A fan of graduated crystal spears set into a brass mount, an Art Deco shape that has been made in England since the nineteen thirties. It suits a stair half landing where you see it from below.

Every crystal is cut and polished on a wheel by hand in the Midlands, then hung on brass pins rather than wire so nothing rattles. The frames are cast brass, not plated steel, which is why the fitting has weight in the hand and why the finish will still be there in twenty years. Sold singly in the larger size with an extra row of drops.

Fitting

This is a hardwired fitting and should be installed by a qualified electrician working to BS 7671. It arrives with a standard round backplate and fixing screws. Wall plugs are not supplied because the right fixing depends on whether you are going into brick, block, plasterboard or lath and plaster. It is a heavy fitting at roughly 8.3 kilograms, so fix into masonry or into a timber noggin behind plasterboard rather than into the board alone.
