Halliwell Crystal Devonshire Crystal Column Sconce Wall Light Pair

A solid crystal column, ground and polished on six faces, lit from a concealed lamp in the brass foot. The light travels up inside the crystal and comes out of the top face as a bright point.

Every crystal is cut and polished on a wheel by hand in the Midlands, then hung on brass pins rather than wire so nothing rattles. The frames are cast brass, not plated steel, which is why the fitting has weight in the hand and why the finish will still be there in twenty years. Sold as a pair, crystals matched by hand across both fittings.

Fitting

This is a hardwired fitting and should be installed by a qualified electrician working to BS 7671. It arrives with a standard round backplate and fixing screws. Wall plugs are not supplied because the right fixing depends on whether you are going into brick, block, plasterboard or lath and plaster. It is a heavy fitting at roughly 14.4 kilograms, so fix into masonry or into a timber noggin behind plasterboard rather than into the board alone.
