Chalkhill Studio Stanway Glazed Ceramic Scallop Wall Light Pair

A scallop in glazed stoneware, the flutes pressed while the clay is still soft so they carry a little of the maker's thumb. Available in three glazes that all sit quietly against plaster and against paint.

Thrown, glazed and fired in our Dorset studio in small batches. Stoneware moves in the kiln, so height and diameter vary by a few millimetres between pieces and glaze pools differently on every one. Sold as a pair, cast in the same batch.

Fitting

This is a hardwired fitting and should be installed by a qualified electrician working to BS 7671. It arrives with a standard round backplate and fixing screws. Wall plugs are not supplied because the right fixing depends on whether you are going into brick, block, plasterboard or lath and plaster. It is a heavy fitting at roughly 10.0 kilograms, so fix into masonry or into a timber noggin behind plasterboard rather than into the board alone.
