Description

A bronze mesh woven on a loom in Yorkshire, tensioned into a bronze frame and lit from the edge. The weave makes the light move as you walk past it, which a flat diffuser never does.

Made in our own workshop in England, one at a time, by the people who drew it. Pieces at this scale are built around a welded steel armature so nothing relies on the decorative metal for strength, and every one is wired with silicone insulated cable and a ceramic lampholder because the heat inside a large fitting is not the same as the heat inside a small one. Sold as a pair, made together and finished together.

Fitting

This is a hardwired fitting and should be installed by a qualified electrician working to BS 7671. It arrives with a standard round backplate and fixing screws. Wall plugs are not supplied because the right fixing depends on whether you are going into brick, block, plasterboard or lath and plaster. It is a heavy fitting at roughly 29.2 kilograms, so fix into masonry or into a timber noggin behind plasterboard rather than into the board alone. At this weight the fixing must go into structure. We will send the mounting drawing to your electrician before delivery if you ask.
