Finish
Description

Forty hand cut glass rods hung in a bronze frame, close enough to touch each other so the panel reads as one surface. Move past it and the whole thing shifts, which is what it is for.

Made in our own workshop in England, one at a time, by the people who drew it. Pieces at this scale are built around a welded steel armature so nothing relies on the decorative metal for strength, and every one is wired with silicone insulated cable and a ceramic lampholder because the heat inside a large fitting is not the same as the heat inside a small one. Sold singly.

Fitting

This is a hardwired fitting and should be installed by a qualified electrician working to BS 7671. It arrives with a standard round backplate and fixing screws. Wall plugs are not supplied because the right fixing depends on whether you are going into brick, block, plasterboard or lath and plaster. It is a heavy fitting at roughly 16.5 kilograms, so fix into masonry or into a timber noggin behind plasterboard rather than into the board alone. At this weight the fixing must go into structure. We will send the mounting drawing to your electrician before delivery if you ask.
